I am Christopher Mansion.
I am a Los Angeles Photographer, born and raised in South Central, Los Angeles. Born June 27, 1990 I grew up in a fatherless home in a village of single mothers. Hard times were constant and was made to be the norm. With not much else to turn to, I reveled in the arts to seek refuge from my own anger.
As I got older, I drowned myself in video games, skateboarding, drawing and music. From South Central to South East Los Angeles, I went to high school in Huntington Park. I found my outlets through playing Football for The Huntington Park Spartans, and developed a deeper love for music through guitar and writing poetry.
After leaving high school, music became my main focus. I developed the alias, Dr. Demise, that I would soon use to hit the local stages as a rapper. Stumbling through my twenties, stumbling in and out of restaurants as a cook, and trying to balance a rappers lifestyle, I discovered I had more of a passion for service than performance.
There after, I produced THE BLUELINE DISTRICT, named after the Metro train that runs through the heart of Los Angeles and got me to most of my destinations. I used my company as a platform to help other local up-and-coming artist find their way and grow by producing "Crescent Nights" Open Mic and "Artist Articles" blog. Soon I invested in a camera to shoot music videos for myself and my acquaintances.
Being a self taught videographer, I learned that photography is an important aspect in shooting video. I have been shooting photography and developing The Blueline District Photography since then.
Our Mission Statement
The Blueline District is a media company built on the grounds of men’s mental health, made with love for self expression, to provide shelter over the heads of the underdog. Our purpose is to provide an affordable media platform for Artist, Athletes, and Actors to express and promote themselves and their entrepreneurial endeavors. Our mission is to support up-and-coming musicians, comedians, actors, athletes and other industry professionals and connect people to available and affordable health professionals.
The business focuses on spreading awareness of the importances of mens mental health through pictures, music, movies, and story-telling while providing quality photographs, and videos for industry and sports professionals alike. We will create educational material while developing meaningful collaborations to continuously spread our message and improve and grow our business.
We offer photography such as portraits, headshots, behind-the scenes, concert and sports photography. We also offer videos such as, highlight reels, interviews, music videos, commercials, and shorts stories.
What sets us apart is our personal relationship to men seeking improvement for their mental health and others who know men that could benefit from the creative and educational media we provide. We are dedicated to improving relationships between men and the people in their lives. Our out-of-the-box mental health approach allows us an angle into photography and videography not covered by many others but is in growing demand. The Blueline District is run by owner Christopher Mansion; musician, athlete, and professional photographer with over 5 years of experience set on building a company that will effect the future for generations to come. With plenty of collaboration opportunities and room for building a team the business can develop quickly into a company and with time, a corporation.
